Hey y’all!
After months of procrastination and coming up with every excuse under the sun, I’ve finally decided to start my blog! The idea of beginning this journey felt daunting, and I often brushed off the thought of doing so. Yet, sharing my experiences and the lessons I’ve learned along the way is something I’m very passionate about and have always valued. I truly believe in the power of helping others and passing on wisdom whenever possible. As Phil Collins said, ‘In learning, you will teach, and in teaching, you will learn.’
What I’ve come to learn and accept is that there’s never going to be a ‘right time’ to start anything. But how do we even define it? What factors dictate or measure what the ‘right time’ truly is? Life moves so quickly, and while we wait for that elusive moment, we allow for valuable time to pass us and in that we postpone our happiness, feelings of gratitude and all the opportunities in front of us, in hopes that we’ll eventually reach a point where everything aligns in our favour.
The truth is, that point simply doesn’t exist. Life is forever changing for better or for worse and that’s the thing, there’ll always be a time where things could be better. Highlighting that we must embrace the present moment by starting where we are-amidst chaos, confusion and doubt. I believe that a situation is what you make of it, and although circumstances may not always be favourable, it all comes down to how you choose to perceive it. After all, every cloud has a silver lining.
My journey to this blog has been shaped by profound experiences over the years, where loss and detachment have felt more tangible and relevant than ever. The road ahead hasn’t always been clear, and what seemed like the end of certain chapters has, in fact, become the start of some of my most beautiful ones yet. Through all of this, I’ve grown to be patient with the unfolding of events while focusing on becoming 1% better every day through mindfulness, fitness, and the life changes I now embrace.
In my free time, you’ll find me either at the gym, completing a 5km jog, reading a book, spending time with loved ones, or working on perfecting my craft or pursuing other personal goals. I hope this space acts as a catalyst in your journey to growing, healing and becoming the best version of yourself in the process.
